MF Awesome Meter

Each week Cheese and Packers will rate the performance of key positions and give them a "Awesome" ranking. For example, last week the Packers played the Cowboys and NOTHING WAS AWESOME. Therefore, I would give the team a

ranking. They were wasting my time. Here's how it will break down for every week.

Three Awesomes= You are the best ever on this day.

Two Awesomes= You are not bad, you're barely good enough for my high standards.

One Awesomes= Please stop not being awesome.

No Awesomes= Odds are I hate you.

I concur with your well-thought out and eloquently stated assessment of the performance of our favorite football team.

While some parts of the Packers' performance are very good, and they occasionally pull off the great play here and there--the overall consistency of the gamaeplan leaves me a little--well, flat.

The difense HAS to be able to get off the field on 3rd down. I don't know how many times I have heard "Ohh, the defense was tired..." of course they were. they battled the 'Pokes to 3rd and long over and over, only to give up the first-down play....this HAS to stop. It's a pattern that goes back a long time, and I don'thave the answer, but then I'm not getting paid millions (right Coach
Mike?) of dollars to figure it out.

The other thing that I have to rail about is--let Aaron play. It's nice to see him making the "safe, high-percentage" throws, but if two teams are fairly even, it takes that aspect of unpredictability to make something happen. Rodgers apparently has the arm to make the big-time "what the hell" sort of throws..let him do it.
